Welcome to my site—about to undergo a complete revision, but life is about re-vision, isn’t it?

Really, there really is going to be a new website.  I promise.  You’ll see.

Hey music buddies—thanks for your calls and contact—I miss you.
I’m working on my new CD which is starting to seriously rev-up—collaboration with percussionist Kirk Brundage

I’ll keep you posted as Steps get taken:)

Most recently had a blast doing a mini-house concert in Santa Cruz, with Barbara Gerry and Mark Chetkovich (formerly of the Chetko Brothers).  That show was mostly rock, soul, and jazz covers, with some of Mark’s music.  It’s seriously wonderful performing with another singer, and Mark’s guitar rocks any room.  Stay posted for more developments on that front as well!

Meanwhile, my enduring debut CD, softly plays on...
[I just saw in the Santa Monica Library a book by Elmore Leonard about writing rules that said Never use an adverb with a verb.]
That was just my way of getting the link in right here:

Stay in touch!

"Each tune comes out as pure and individual as a finely cut gem.  Ms. Martin proves herself to be "not just a singer," as her intonation, relaxed sense of swing, and clear focus in her delivery make her an up-and-coming vocalist who's already there."
    —Larry Blood, KUSP Radio

"Accomplished jazz. Very sharp and classic sound—beautiful!"
